Resources for WCAG 2.0
It’s been a long, winding road for the W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 specification, but it looks to be finally nearing the goal. WCAG 2.0 has become a Proposed Recommendation and will soon be heading for full Recommendation status. It’s time start preparing for the transition from WCAG 1.0…
With this in mind, the WaSP has a list of resources so you can read up on WCAG 2.0. The W3C’s own Overview of WCAG 2.0 and quick reference on meeting WCAG 2.0 are good places to get started. Getting into more detail, Roger Hudson has written a couple of excellent guides. Migrating from WCAG 1.0 to WCAG 2.0 provides a helpful point-by-point comparison of checkpoints in the two specs. He also has an article on using WCAG 2.0 for accessible forms.
Have you spotted any more resources on using WCAG 2.0? The WaSP is looking for more, so if you’ve seen any, go post a link or let me know in the comments here!
